Exterior

The 2023 Chevy Tahoe and the 2023 Chevy Suburban are both big, bulky vehicles that feature aggressive styling on the outside. The Suburban is slightly longer than the Tahoe (225.7 inches vs. 210.7 inches), but their widths and heights are similar so they'll both look very imposing parked side-by-side. They also both come in a wide range of new colors, including Sterling Gray Metallic, Silver Sage Metallic, and Radiant Red Tintcoat.

Engine

Regardless of whether you decide to go with a 2023 Chevy Tahoe or a 2023 Chevy Suburban, you'll get access to the same set of engines, and one of them is sure to meet your needs. Both SUVs come with a standard 5.3-liter V-8 engine that can produce up to 355 horsepower. But you can also upgrade to either a 6.2-liter V-8 engine that can produce up to 420 horsepower or a 3.0-liter diesel six-cylinder engine that can produce up to 277 horsepower.

Both the 2023 Chevy Tahoe and the 2023 Chevy Suburban can also be used to tow things around when equipped with optional towing packages. But it's the Suburban that wins out in this category thanks to its slightly larger frame. A Suburban with a 5.3-liter V-8 engine can tow up to 8,300 pounds.

Fuel Economy

Because the 2023 Chevy Suburban is larger than the 2023 Chevy Tahoe, you might think the Tahoe would have much better fuel economy. But when it comes right down to it, the Tahoe and Suburban have very similar fuel economy numbers. The Tahoe is slightly more fuel efficient than the Suburban, as it's capable of getting about 21 miles per gallon in the city and 28 miles per gallon on the highway. But the Suburban isn't that far behind, as it can also get about 21 miles per gallon in the city and 27 miles per gallon on the highway.

Interior

If you're interested in buying either a 2023 Chevy Tahoe or a 2023 Chevy Suburban, there's a good chance you want to do it because of all the space they provide on the interior. And you aren't going to be disappointed with either option. They're going to deliver all the space that you and your fellow passengers will need on the inside of an SUV.

The Tahoe comes standard with three rows of seating that provide plenty of legroom for passengers. It also has an independent rear suspension system in it that makes the floor inside it low and flat so that people will have even more room to stretch out than they would otherwise.

The Suburban is also every bit as spacious as you'll want it to be on the inside. It has three rows just like the Tahoe, and Chevy worked to add a couple of extra inches of legroom for those in the second and third rows in the 2023 Suburban. The Suburban also benefits from the same independent rear suspension system as the Tahoe, which provides it with a lower and flatter floor that makes it even larger on the interior.

Cargo Space

You're going to want to carry more than just other people around when you invest in a 2023 Chevy Tahoe or a 2023 Chevy Suburban. You'll also want to fill your SUV up with lots of other stuff, which is what makes cargo space important. The good news is that both the 2023 Tahoe and the 2023 Suburban will provide you with lots of cargo space, but it's ultimately the Suburban that will win out in this department because of its larger design.

Under normal circumstances, the 2023 Tahoe will offer about 25 cubic feet of cargo space, but you can increase that to 123 cubic feet of cargo space when you put the second and third rows of seating down. The 2023 Suburban, meanwhile, will offer about 42 cubic feet of cargo space or 145 cubic feet of cargo space in total with its second and third rows of seating down.

Technology

There won't ever be a dull moment inside either the 2023 Chevy Tahoe or the 2023 Chevy Suburban because of all the technology crammed into both of these SUVs. They both come with standard 10.2-inch touch screens equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You can also add optional rear-seat entertainment systems to either SUV that will include two 12.6-inch displays situated right behind the front seats.

Chevy has also squeezed many of the same safety features into both the 2023 Chevy Tahoe and the 2023 Chevy Suburban. This includes standard features like forward-collision warning and automated emergency braking and lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist. Other safety features like adaptive cruise control with hands-free driving mode are optional.
