A single set of easy-to-follow controls within easy reach on the instrument panel lets you adjust the heating, cooling, defrosting and ventilation throughout the vehicle, providing total comfort for you and your passengers.

Operate your cell phone with a simple tap of the steering wheel. Bluetooth®1 for select phones connects your personal cell phone to your vehicle's audio system, allowing you to place and receive calls using the specific steering wheel controls. The 4-wheel disc brakes on your Equinox® provide strong, sure stops on dry pavement, of course, but on slippery surfaces the antilock feature enhances your safety even further. The system eliminates the need to pump your brakes on ice, snow or rain-slick pavement to avoid locking your wheels, as you might have learned in driver's education. Instead, sensors in each wheel detect lockup as it happens and do the pumping for you, squeezing and releasing the brake calipers many times per second – much faster than you could pump. Putting steady, firm pressure on the pedal, you can steer and brake at the same time, a potentially critical ability when you're trying to avoid an object in your path in an emergency.

The GM® commitment to alternative fuels is evident in the variety of engines it offers, including the E10 fuel-capable 2.4L DOHC 4-cylinder engine in Equinox®. This efficient powerplant can run on a fuel mixture of 10% ethanol and 90% gasoline that is sold in many parts of the country.
